Delux S2 Muscle Car

Modarri, 2015

Role: Assisting Mechanical Engineer
Company: IDE
Volume: 10,000

Project goals

The Delux S2 was a new line of cars added to Modarri's existing product line. Every design had to be backwards compatible with Modarri's current cars.

My role

I reverse-engineered Modarri's existing suspension assembly into native CAD files, then redesigned it to eliminate binding.

Design challenges

Matching the original. The reverse-engineered parts had to be dimensionally accurate and perform exactly like the existing parts.
Consistent prototyping. Prototypes had to be procured the same way for every revision.
Backwards compatibility. Every modification had to remain compatible with Modarri's current cars.
