Golden-i Headset

Kopin, 2014

Company: IDE
Volume: 5,000

Overview

The Golden-i is a wearable headset with a powerful built-in computer that works independently of other devices. Its micro display is controlled by voice and motion, making the Golden-i completely hands-free.

My role

I was tasked with updating the headset's vertical head supports. Through numerous form studies, I refined their shape for both comfort and manufacturability. The final supports include three adjustment points (horizontal slides, a lower pivot and a vertical pad adjustment) so each wearer can dial in a secure, comfortable fit.
